Racing season has begun

Racing season is in full effect! Hard to believe that it has been one year since I started running. I never really understood why people liked to run. I mean what enjoyment do you get from running, it's boring and hard on your legs! I have grown to love it actually. I've done 11 races and one fun run so far. I have done only 5k's, which is 3.1 miles. Two of them that were this year. I really never had any desire to run any longer than that, because I always thought "how can someone run longer than 3 miles! Well after running for some time and seeing my friends do even longer distances it has encouraged me to want to a little bit longer distances. So this year I decided to tackle the 10k, 6.2 miles. I just ran that for the 5/3 River Bank Run on May 8th. I have to say it was awesome. I felt the best running the longer distance than I have any shorter distance race. I look forward to doing more 10k's and I even decided to try for a 1/2 marathon next racing season! Here's a look at my racing stats for one year!
